Eye Surgery
General eye surgery covers surgical procedures performed to diagnose and treat eye diseases. Here are the important applications in this field:

Refractive Surgery
This type of surgery is performed to correct refractive errors in the eye (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism). The most common methods: LASIK: Changing the shape of the corneal tissue. PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy): Laser application to the corneal surface. SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction): A minimally invasive method performed by removing a small piece of tissue within the cornea.

Cataract Surgery
Cataracts are clouding of the lens in the eye. Surgery involves removing the cloudy lens and replacing it with an artificial lens. It is usually done under local anesthesia and the recovery process is quick.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
The removal of excess skin or fat tissue from the eyelids is performed to reduce the signs of aging and expand the visual field.

Retinal Surgery
Surgery for problems with the retina (such as retinal detachment). Procedures include laser therapy, vitrectomy (removal of the gel inside the eye), and other restorative methods.
